This 47-Cent ALDI Find Is a Game Changer—I Wish I'd Bought It Sooner

Slow cooker liners haven’t always appealed to me. I’d seen them in stores and heard about their convenience, but I had concerns about their safety and waste. But I recently dug deeper into their safety and learned that while there isn’t a lot of peer-reviewed research on slow cooker liners, studies on food-safe plastics show that products labeled BPA-free and rated for high temperatures are considered safe.

One thing I don’t need studies or research to know is that stress, lack of sleep, and poor diet contribute to negative health outcomes. If using slow cooker liners helps manage busy weeknight dinners (the leading cause of all three stressors) by making cleaning my slow cooker easier and faster, the pros outweigh the cons.

So when I found a four-pack of Boulder Slow Cooker Liners at ALDI, I finally caved and bought a box for just $1.89, or just 47 cents per liner. I can confidently say that these liners are a game changer and I wish I had gotten started sooner.

Why Slow Cooker Liners Are the Perfect Solution

I'm not someone who is afraid of doing a little cleaning after cooking. I've cleaned quite a few pots and pans, and aside from a few tough-to-handle pieces, it's never been that bad.

However, after using these slow cooker liners for a particularly sticky recipe (sticky toffee pudding, to be exact), I admit I missed out on a simple and beneficial kitchen hack. Here are a few reasons why I think you might enjoy them, too:

  • The time saving is undeniable. I no longer have to scrub away stubborn, baked-on residue. Cleaning is as easy as lifting the liner and tossing it in the trash, and the slow cooker stays spotless. I put it away after a quick wash, without having to scrub.
  • They are ideal for messy recipesLiners are handy for recipes that tend to leave a lot of cooked bits, like dips, cheesy sausage balls, wings, and mac and cheese.
  • They are practical. If I'm making multiple dishes in my slow cooker, such as for large family events (Thanksgiving) or meal prep days, the liners allow you to reuse the slow cooker almost immediately without scrubbing in between.
  • They are robustAt the end of a meal, once most of the heavy food is out, I can easily lift the liner to pour or transfer leftovers to a storage container without worrying about spills or leaks.
  • They keep my slow cooker in perfect conditionThe liners prevent stains, odors, and buildup by acting as a barrier between food and the surface of the slow cooker. They will help keep my slow cooker looking like new, even after years of use.

Ultimately, as a working parent, I’m just trying to take the best care of my kids while meeting our basic needs and conserving what energy I have left. Often, the last thing I want to do is wash dishes, let alone fight off sticky leftover stew. At just 47 cents per liner, Boulder Slow Cooker Liners are an affordable and effective solution. They make cleanup easier, faster, and more enjoyable.

If you're hesitant to try them, consider this an encouragement to take the plunge. You might find yourself in a spotless kitchen, sipping a well-deserved glass of wine. Can you imagine?
