Ingredients
- 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into bite-sized cubes
- ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce
- ¼ cup beef broth
- 2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 1 tsp onion powder
- ½ tsp smoked paprika
- ¼ tsp black pepper
- 2 tbsp butter, cut into small pieces
- Fresh parsley (optional, for garnish)
Instructions
Start by selecting a quality cut of sirloin steak for the most tender results. Trim off any excess fat, then cut the steak into even, bite-sized cubes. Uniform pieces ensure even cooking and a melt-in-your-mouth texture.
In a medium bowl, whisk together the soy sauce, beef broth, Worcestershire sauce, minced garlic, onion powder, smoked paprika, and black pepper. This combination infuses the steak with deep, savory flavor while the broth and sauces help keep the bites tender and juicy.
Add the steak cubes to your slow cooker, then pour the marinade over the top. Stir gently to ensure the steak is well coated. Evenly distribute the pieces of butter over the steak—this will melt during cooking, adding richness and a luscious finish to the dish.
Set your crockpot to low and cook for 4 to 5 hours, or on high for 2 to 3 hours. The steak bites should be fork-tender and infused with all those wonderful flavors. Give everything a gentle stir halfway through if you’re able.
Once the steak bites are done, taste and adjust seasoning if needed. Sprinkle with freshly chopped parsley for a pop of color and extra flavor.
