Ingredients

 

  • 1 lb ground chicken or turkey
  • 1 cup marinara sauce
  • 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 8 slider buns or small dinner rolls
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • ½ tsp garlic powder
  • ¼ tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp olive oil
  • Optional toppings: lettuce, pickles, extra cheese

 


Instructions

 

  1. Heat the oil: Warm 1 Tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Cook the meat: Add 1 lb ground chicken or turkey. Break it up with a spoon and cook until no pink remains.
  3. Season: Stir in 1 tsp Italian seasoning, ½ tsp garlic powder, and ¼ tsp salt.
  4. Add sauce: Pour in 1 cup marinara sauce, stir to combine, and let simmer 3–4 minutes so flavors meld.
  5. Prep buns: While meat simmers, split 8 slider buns and arrange the bottom halves on a baking sheet.
  6. Assemble sliders: Spoon meat mixture evenly onto each bun base.
  7. Add cheese: Sprinkle 1 cup shredded mozzarella over the meat.
  8. Broil: Place under a hot broiler for 1–2 minutes, until cheese melts and just begins to bubble—watch carefully to avoid burning.
  9. Finish & serve: Add the top buns, garnish with lettuce or pickles if desired, and serve immediately.
