Quick Steps to Make Kid-Friendly Sliders
- Heat 1 Tbsp olive oil in a large skillet over medium. Crumble in 1 lb ground chicken or turkey and cook until no pink remains (~5 min).
- Stir in 1 tsp Italian seasoning, ½ tsp garlic powder and ¼ tsp salt, then pour in 1 cup marinara sauce. Simmer 3–4 min.
- Split 8 slider buns and arrange their bottoms on a baking sheet (toast briefly if desired).
- Spoon meat onto each bun bottom and top with 1 cup shredded mozzarella.
- Broil 1–2 min until cheese melts—watch closely.
- Add bun tops and serve with optional lettuce, pickles or extra cheese.
- Store leftover meat (not assembled) in the fridge up to 3 days; reheat with a splash of water.
