Ingredients
- 1 sheet (≈8 oz) frozen puff pastry, fully thawed
- ½ lb ground meat (beef, or turkey)
- 1 small onion, finely diced
- 1 garlic clove, minced
- ½ tsp salt
- ¼ tsp freshly ground black pepper
- 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce
- ½ tsp dried oregano
- 1 cup shredded cheese (cheddar, mozzarella or a blend)
- 1 egg, beaten (for egg wash)
- 1 Tbsp all-purpose flour (for dusting)

Preheat oven to 400 °F (200 °C) and line a baking sheet with parchment.

In a skillet over medium heat, cook ½ lb ground meat until browned; add 1 diced onion and 1 minced garlic clove and sauté until soft.

Drain fat, season with ½ tsp salt, ¼ tsp pepper, 1 tsp Worcestershire sauce and ½ tsp dried oregano; let cool 5 minutes.

On a floured surface, roll 1 thawed puff-pastry sheet into a 10×12 in rectangle.

Spread meat mixture over pastry (leave ½ in border), sprinkle 1 cup shredded cheese on top.

Roll tightly from the long side into a log, seal edge with water.

Slice into 1 in rounds, place cut-side up on sheet, brush with beaten egg.

Bake 20–25 minutes until golden and puffed; cool 5 minutes, then serve.
