Looking for a healthier, flavorful alternative to traditional deep-fried potatoes? These Baked Parmesan Potato Fries are the perfect choice! Crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and packed with flavor from garlic, paprika, and freshly grated Parmesan cheese. Great as a snack, appetizer, or side dish.

Ingredients
- 4 medium-sized potatoes (washed well, skins on)
- 3 tablespoons olive oil
- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- ½ teaspoon paprika (optional)
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ cup freshly grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Prepare the Potatoes
- Cut the potatoes into medium-thick sticks (like classic French fries)
- Soak them in cold water for 30 minutes to remove excess starch — this helps them get crispy in the oven
- Drain and pat dry thoroughly with a clean towel
2. Season the Fries
- In a large bowl, combine the potato sticks with olive oil, salt, pepper, paprika, and garlic powder
- Toss well to coat evenly
- Add half of the Parmesan cheese and mix again
3. Bake
- Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C)
- Line a baking sheet with parchment paper
- Spread the potatoes in a single layer without overcrowding
- Bake for 30–35 minutes, flipping halfway through, until golden and crispy
- In the last 5 minutes, sprinkle the remaining Parmesan on top and return to the oven until the cheese is melted and slightly browned
4. Serve
- Remove from the oven and sprinkle with chopped parsley
- Serve hot with your favorite dip — garlic aioli, ketchup, or ranch dressing work perfectly
Tips for Best Results
- Dry the potatoes well after soaking — moisture will prevent crispiness
- Don’t overcrowd the pan; use two sheets if needed
- Use freshly grated Parmesan for maximum flavor and melt
These oven-baked Parmesan fries are a must-try — crispy, cheesy, and absolutely delicious without any frying!
